             Our Story

In 1993, shortly after the first casino opened on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Fred, Sue and Norman Belcher moved from Las Vegas to Bay St. Louis Mississippi and opened the Firedog Saloon.  Catering to mostly locals and casino industry workers from Casino Magic, the first major casino on the coast, the Firedog soon became the locals favorite hang out on the coast.

As the gaming industry grew with the addition of several new casinos mostly towards the east in Gulfport and Biloxi and a new partner, Greg Iverson, in 1995 we opened a new restaurant/lounge  in Biloxi's historic district called Adventures Bar & Grill.  Located only two blocks from Biloxi's Casino Row, Adventures soon became one of the most popular venues in Biloxi.

As more casinos opened and in response to the growing number of tourists visiting the Mississippi Gulf Coast the business expanded with two new locations in Gulfport, Firedog Bar & Grill and The Daq Shack.

On August 29, 2005, Hurricane Katrina completely devastated the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Along with our homes, The Firedog Saloon, Dan Shack and Firedog Bar & Grill were completely destroyed. Adventures Bar & Grill received extensive damage but was able to reopen several months later.

In 2013  Adventures along with a minor name change to better reflect our new venue opened at a new and larger location one block North of Casino Row on Lameuse St. With the larger location which offers more seating, a larger, more modern kitchen and additional parking we were able to  once again become one of the most popular restaurant/lounges on the coast.  Adventures has been awarded Trip  Advisor's "Certificate of Excellence " ,'Best Bar On The Coast' and 'Local's Favorite Hangout On The Coast". Still catering to the ever growing tourism business as well as locals and service industry workers, Adventures invites you to stop in to relax with old friends or make new ones in a inviting, casual atmosphere.

PS: It is estimated that 7 million people will visit the coast in 2017. We hope that you are among them and will stop in and visit us while you enjoy everything the Mississippi Gulf Coast has to offer.
